Why I make bad choices and why bad choices bring good stories..

We ran away from home many times, sometimes too soon,
sometimes so quietly that no one noticed.
Sometimes, however, we didn’t have the courage to go,
paralyzed by someone throwing a slipper at the door.

🫀 We are a bit of a punk. Even in being scared. 🫀

We leave a steady job and follow a shifting horizon.
We don’t ask for loans; we settle for a home that fits inside a backpack.
We love to subtract: fewer wheels, less competition, fewer demands.
We take months, years to see the world, knowing we will never see it all.
Because we take it slow, stop for a drink, and borrow a garden for the night.
And so life happens to us.

We make different choices, we take wrong paths, we keep upside-down maps… not everyone likes us, but others may or may not like us anyway, not because of the way we are, but because of the way they are.And in the end we always have a story to tell.
A good story.

Our bike is a small thing that doesn’t make noise, doesn’t crackle.
It doesn’t kill. It never runs too fast.

It is in the intention of the gesture, the value. Not in its magnitude.
So get your ass on the saddle and let it be whatever it is.

What if I make a mistake? What if I regret it later?
There’s tomorrow.
